Why do the Archives archive? - A journey from the hunkó to the counter-ethnography and back

The thesis was presented in 3 parts:
1) A critical inquiry about the conception of the Archive in its non-distinction of any type, being museums, libraries, universities, every place of the so-called knowledge "production" into the category Archive; introduction to the term "counter-ethnography".
2) the first attempt of an independent provenance research on the collection of phonograms containing ritual African-Brazilian chants; the dossier-archive with all the documentation gathered in the process; and the campaign of non-authorized restitution (piracy) to the black religious communities in Brazil. 
3) the poetic outputs of the processes, in the series "Exercises to Not Lose Sight of Myself", with videos, performances and objects.
